Deputy S. Block had a short report on Salida and what Stanislaus County has to look forward to when it comes to new Deputies in training and in the Academy.
Salida is very thankful for our coverage and all the good work the Deputies are accomplishing.
Supervisor Terry Withrow covered public safety restoration and items that are on the agenda for LAFCO in conserving farmland, also discussions on working with our local judges so that someone that is in jail can receive a fair trial due to continuances sometimes taking several years. (2 parts)

Aaron Farnon, Stanislaus County Community Focus Liaison will present at the next Salida MAC meeting to share the "Across the Community" effort that is coming alongside local initiatives focused on a number of Quality of Life areas, in partnership with cross-sector leaders (Education, Non-Profits, Faith, Business, Arts, Entertainment & Sports, Media, Neighborhoods, Philanthropy, and Government). The effort begins with a Focus on Prevention in the following Quality of Life areas:
Homelessness (October 1st, 2015 Convening);
Strengthening Families;
Investment in Young Children; and Reducing Recidivism.

Planning Commission has approved the Salida grocery store to go before the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors and the date is set for April 21st.
